New business manager

Level: mid-weight/senior (depending on experience)

The role

We are looking for an experienced new business manager who can implement and manage multiple marketing channels, generating qualified leads, followed by the coordination of the New Business team through proposal, pitch and success. As a member of the client services team you would be required to consider and understand how your work meets client and business needs, how to engage with qualified opportunities and develop seamless and connected sales experiences.

You should be hungry for all things digital, believe that the devil is in the detail, be keenly interested in both strategic and design challenges, strong business networks and client relationships, and always look to push the art of what is possible.

 

Responsibilities

We expect the successful applicant to be capable of:

Marketing and lead generation activity

  • Plan, develop and implement effective marketing communication campaigns.
  • Plan, develop and manage hosted events.
  • Monitor bid opportunities through key portals. Share and discuss potential opportunities at weekly new business meeting.
  • Implementation of tripwires to engage prospective clients.
  • Manage and maintain CRM database.
  • Identify client briefing requirements and coordinate with Strategic and production teams for proposal estimation.

Copy and collateral

  • Ownership of copy for all marketing collateral, including brochures, social, emails and website.
  • Produce necessary sales collateral alongside the CXO.
  • Liaising between the team and other relevant parties such as; sales, product/brand management, tech development and finance to understand targets and facilitate requirements towards these targets.

Sales Activity

  • Conversion of inbound leads to consultancy and/or technical delivery contracts.
  • Progress leads through sales pipeline to close.
  • Coordinating team roles for tenders, proposals and presentations.
  • Coordinate submission of PQQ, where necessary and RFPs.
  • Acting with confidence in client interaction and presentations, and to work closely with client teams where appropriate.
  • Oversee completion and sign off for all client contracts and initiate invoicing with FD alongside the New Business team.

Reporting

  • Monitoring ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances occur.
  • Undertake detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met.
  • Produce an accurate weekly summary of lead generation and sales status and 3 monthly board report.
  • Manage and maintain of the company Sales Forecast figures.

 

Experience and skills

We are looking for the successful applicant to have:

  • Over four years agency marketing and sales experience, targeting designing solutions for a range of industry sectors and working closely with client teams, and now looking to take the next step in your career development.
  • Previous experience coordinating multiple marketing campaigns across a wide variety of channels.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the sbility to bring members of different teams together to achieve a specific project sale.
  • An understanding of agile working methods is an advantage but is not essential.
  • An excellent understanding of designing for today’s technology and platforms required to build digital interactive solutions and experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience in organising, conducting and analysing user testing programmes and customer facing surveys.
  • A strong presenter and communicator who is comfortable leading from the front with clients and internal teams.
